We’re proud to announce that two of our team members have been shortlisted for the Insider Media Yorkshire Young Professionals Awards 2026.
Ammaarah Patel, Business Services and Tax Executive has been recognised for Apprentice of the Year and Steven Wotherspoon for Accountant of the Year.
The awards celebrate the region’s most talented professionals aged 35 and under across a wide range of industries. This year attracted the highest number of entries across 13 categories.

Ammaarah’s shortlist place recognises her dedication, expertise and the vital role she is playing in the advancement of the industry. Her proactive thinking has been instrumental in developing an effective, client-focused tax service and she continues to champion a collaborative culture by supporting colleagues, sharing her technical knowledge and encouraging peer support.

Steve is a core member of the firm’s management team. Since joining Parsons, Steve has developed his team into trusted business advisers whose client partnerships extend far beyond traditional compliance services. By anticipating client needs, identifying growth opportunities and developing clear guidance, he adds immense value to the team.

Being shortlisted in two competitive categories is a huge achievement and a reflect of the talent in the Parsons team. For Ammaarah and Steve, these recognition highlights their individual achievements but also the important role they play in supporting our clients, each other and driving our continued success.
